
Alan Jacobs is Distinguished Professor of the Humanities in the Honors College of Baylor University. He is the author, most recently, of How to Think: A Survival Guide for a World at Odds (Currency, 2017) and has written for The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, Harper’s, and The American Scholar. He has spoken widely on the life of the mind in a digital world; the past, present, and future of reading; the place of religion in a pluralistic and technocratic society; and the place of literature and the other arts in religious culture.
